

Marisa Schouten is an associate with Martin Walker, P.C. practicing in all areas of personal injury, including auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, defective products, burns and explosion cases. She practices in all areas of banking fraud, including predator lending and truth in lending act violations. She also practices in all areas of consumer protection – including deceptive trade practices act violations. Marisa specializes in catastrophic cases.
Marisa is from Stephenville, Texas and is happily married to Adam She received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2003. Marisa served as a briefing attorney for the Tenth Court of Appeals in Waco, Texas.
Marisa is a member of several organizations, including Christ Episcopal Church, Tyler Heart Association and the Smith County Bar Association She is a member of the Appellate Section of the Texas Bar.
She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2003, and the Eastern District of Texas shortly thereafter.
